About Our Printed Caskets
Our printed caskets start with a natural kraft base, and each lid is printed using eco-friendly UV inks.
The kraft base texture shows through the artwork, giving each casket a warm, natural finish with strong colour and clarity.
These caskets are kept in stock and ready to go, meaning funeral homes can access them quickly without any custom setup or design time.

Looking for Something More Personal (Custom Casket Designs)
If you need something outside our in-stock printed range, we also offer fully custom printed caskets.
Custom lids are designed individually using your photos, artwork, colours or themes, and no two are the same.

From January 2026, families can choose a fully custom printed lid created from their own photos, artwork, colours or themes. These are designed individually to order and printed on a white base for a brighter, more vibrant photographic finish.
Outside The Box Caskets are available through funeral homes across New Zealand and Australia.

How do I order a printed casket?
All printed caskets are ordered through your funeral director. Just let them know which design you’d like, and they’ll arrange it directly with us. They can also confirm timing and delivery based on your location. |
Are printed caskets suitable for natural burial?
Yes. Because the base is natural kraft board with no plastic, metal, MDF, or coatings, the printed caskets still meet natural burial requirements. The print is UV-cured and very minimal, it does not affect biodegradability. |

Do the colours print bright, even though they’re printed onto kraft?
Yes, they print beautifully. The designs still come out vibrant, but with a slightly warmer tone because the kraft base is a light brown. There are plenty of photos on the website that show the real printed finish, so you can see exactly how the colours look on kraft cardboard. How fast can we get a printed casket?
Printed caskets are kept in stock and can usually be supplied straight away. Timing varies depending on your funeral home and their delivery schedule, so it’s best to ask them directly about availability. |
Are your printed caskets the same strength as the plain kraft caskets?
Yes, the structure is exactly the same. Our printed caskets use the same strong kraft base and handle system as our plain kraft caskets. The only difference is the printed lid. They carry, perform, and function the same. They have the same weight rating as our plain kraft caskets and are independently load tested to 320kg. Do printed caskets come with matching urns?
